Fuel Standards: Traditionally, Koenisseg engines have designed for race fuel, meaning either leaded gasoline or 100 percent ethanol. Leaded fuel does not follow emission requirements, even at low temperatures, 100 percent ethanol does not work well. Canada and parts of the U.S. did not want to approve of the old engines for those reasons.
